Annual Christmas Celebration at Maranatha Christian High School: A Joyous Celebration of Hope and Faith

A Vision of Compassion: The Story of Maranatha Christian High School
Maranatha Christian High School was established in March 2021 by the Good Samaritan Church of Pakistan with a heartfelt vision: to provide tuition-free education to over 300 underprivileged children. This remarkable institution offers these children not just an education but also the hope of a brighter future. It stands as a beacon of God’s love, providing equal opportunities to those who might otherwise be left behind.
The Celebration: Honoring the Birth of Jesus Christ
The Christmas celebration began with a spirited gathering of students and families, all eager to partake in the joyous occasion. The children, dressed in festive attire, performed nativity plays, sang carols, and shared readings from the Bible. Their enthusiasm brought the Christmas story to life, filling the air with an atmosphere of reverence and celebration.
Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir, President of the Good Samaritan Church of Pakistan, delivered an inspiring sermon from the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 2, verses 10-12:
“‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’”
His words resonated with the audience, reminding everyone of the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the hope He brings to the world.
A Community United by Faith
